VistaBright T5 and T8 Fluorescent Industrial Light Fixtures are designed specifically for Hi-Bay applications, either for new or replacement installations, featuring the following major benefits over the old, inefficient HID technologies (metal Halide, Sodium Vapor, Mercury, etc.):
Our T5 Fixtures Reduce Energy Usage by 48.2% - A typical 400 Watt Metal Halide High-bay fixture uses 465 Watts of electrical power, whereas our VistaBright 4 lamp T5 High-Bay fluorescent fixture uses only 241 Watts, for a reduction of 48.2% in power consumption while producing 20,000 initial Lumens (19,000 mean Lumens, or 78.4 mean Lumens per Watt).
Our T8 Fixtures Reduce Energy Usage by 53.1% - As mentioned above, a typical 400 Watt Metal Halide High-bay fixture uses 465 Watts of electrical power, whereas our VistaBright 6 lamp T8 High-Bay fluorescent fixture uses only 218 Watts, for a reduction of 53.1% in power consumption while producing 17,700 initial Lumens (16,800 mean Lumens, or 77.06 mean Lumens per Watt).
Plus Dramatic Improvement in Visual Acuity - All of our T5 and T8 fixtures come with 850 series lamps. These 5000° Kelvin lamps provide vastly improved visual acuity and correct color rendering due to their high blue light content (much like natural sunlight). You won't believe your eyes!
More Pupil Lumens and Reduced Glare - This is a measurement of how effectively the eyes see the light that is emitted from a source. The pupil is much more receptive to the "blue spectrum" light output from the 850 series lamps used in our VistaBright fixtures, than the light emitted from any HID lamp (metal Halide, Sodium Vapor, Mercury, etc.). This is known as the "scotopic effect".
Better Color Quality (CRI) - The average metal-halide lamp is rated approximately 70 on the Color Rendering Index, whereas the lamps used in our VistaBright fixtures are rated between 85 and 90 on the scale (higher is better). High-pressure sodium HID lamps have the poorest rating at 22.
Lower Lumen Depreciation Rates - 90% maintained light output over the life of each lamp, compared to Metal Halide HID Lamps gradually decreasing output by over 50% for the same period.
Instant Start-Up and Re-Strike - It is well-known that HID fixtures of all types require a cool down period before re-strike, sometimes as long as 15 minutes. VistaBright units start instantly.
Higher Fixture Efficiency & Reliability - Standard 400 Watt metal halide High-Bay fixtures are rated at about 70% efficient, while our VistaBright fixtures are rated 94% efficient. Also, when an HID lamp fails you lose all light from that fixture. Not so with VistaBright fixtures; if one of the fluorescent lamps fails, you'll still have illumination from more than one of the remaining lamps.
